SEO
Search Engine Optimization
Helping people find you in Google search. We focus on technical health (can Google understand and crawl your pages?) plus real Search Console trends (clicks, show-ups, queries, pages).
- Helps you: fix broken foundations that block traffic
- Helps you: spot pages/queries worth improving
- Does not: buy you rankings or invent a magic score
GEO
Generative Engine Optimization
Helping answer engines and AI crawlers use your content fairly. We check readiness: crawler access and content structure. We do not query ChatGPT and invent an “AI visibility score.”
- Helps you: avoid blocking AI crawlers by accident
- Helps you: structure pages so answers can cite you
- Does not: guarantee inclusion in AI answers
What SEO actually involves
Search engine optimization is the practice of making it as easy as possible for Google — and the people using it — to understand, trust, and visit your website. It splits into a few practical buckets:
- Crawlability and indexability. Can Google’s crawler reach your pages, and does it decide they’re worth storing? Robots files, sitemaps, canonical tags, and broken redirects all live here. If this foundation is broken, nothing else on the page matters much.
- On-page clarity. Each page should clearly state its topic in the title, meta description, headings, and body copy. This is about signaling what the page is about, not stuffing keywords.
- Performance and trust. Fast, secure pages over HTTPS with a working schema footprint tell both users and search engines the site is credible and usable.
- Traffic and behavior. Search Console shows you the queries people searched and the pages they clicked. That data is the ground truth for deciding what to fix next.
Growth Dashboard checks the technical layers automatically and layers real Google data on top, so the priority order comes from evidence rather than guesswork.
What GEO actually involves
Generative Engine Optimization is the newer, related practice of helping AI answer engines — Google’s AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and similar tools — understand and use your content. It’s not a secret trick; it overlaps heavily with good SEO. The differences are a matter of emphasis:
- Crawler access. Answer engines run their own crawlers (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, and more). A robots rule written for Google can silently block them — often by accident. We check those directives explicitly.
- Answer-first structure. AI models are better at citing pages that state a clear answer near the top, then support it. Question-shaped headings and a direct opening paragraph help both humans skimming and engines quoting.
- Freshness and authority. Recently maintained pages with visible authorship and a coherent site structure are easier for answer engines to trust.
None of this is a guarantee. No tool — including us — can promise that ChatGPT or Google will quote you. We report readiness, and we say so plainly.
Why both matter now
Ten years ago, “getting found” meant ranking in a blue-and-white list of links. Today a meaningful slice of answers is generated: Google summarizes from your pages, and people increasingly ask a chatbot instead of scrolling. Classic SEO is still the foundation — most AI answers are built on crawled web content — but GEO readiness decides how well that content can be quoted.
The good news is you don’t need to choose between them. A page that loads fast, states its point clearly, uses proper headings, and isn’t blocked to crawlers tends to serve both audiences well.
What we check — and what we refuse to claim
Our baseline audit checks titles, meta descriptions, canonicals, headings and hierarchy, schema validity, robots and sitemap agreement, HTTPS and redirect hygiene, AI-crawler directives, answer-first patterns, freshness cues, and related signals. Every finding is labelled “Fix these” or “Worth considering,” with the rule cited and evidence shown.
What we deliberately do not do: invent a 0–100 SEO score, claim an “AI visibility rank” from querying ChatGPT, guarantee inclusion in AI answers, or promise rankings and revenue. Honest scope is the product.
